<p>The Pay Per Click Advertising Model Can Attract The Right Clients Quicker</p>

<p>Pay per click (PPC) is an advertising model used on search engines, advertising networks, and content websites/blogs, where advertisers only pay when a user actually clicks on an ad to visit the advertiser&#8217;s website. Advertisers bid on keywords they predict their target market will use as search terms when they are looking for a product or service.</p>
<p>When a user types a keyword query matching the advertiser&#8217;s keyword list, or views a page with relevant content, the advertiser&#8217;s ad may be shown. These ads are called a &#8220;Sponsored link&#8221; or &#8220;sponsored ads&#8221; and appear next to or above the &#8220;natural&#8221; or organic results on search engine results pages, or anywhere a web master/blogger chooses on a content page.</p>
<p>PPC engines can be categorized into two major categories &#8220;Keyword&#8221; or sponsored match and &#8220;Content Match&#8221;. Sponsored match displays your listing on the search engine itself whereas content match features ads on publisher sites and in newsletters and emails.</p>
<p>When a user searches for a particular word or phrase, the list of advertiser links appears in order of the amount bid. Keywords, also referred to as search terms, are the very heart of pay per click advertising. Businesses buy advertising on specific search phrases, and are then charged each time a person clicks through to their website.</p>
<p>The ads are ranked based on how much a business is willing to pay to advertise on each search phrase. (The ranking order in Google is a combination of the bid amount and the popularity of the ad.) The two largest PPC advertising suppliers happen to be owned by Google and Yahoo. Google&#8217;s program is called Adwords. Yahoo&#8217;s program is run by an acquired company called Overture. You need to be a US resident for the Yahoo program.</p>
<p>For businesses that have had success with search engine optimisation, the idea of paying for visitors is not particularly enticing. However, if you can <a href="http://swotreviews.com/PPC">make more money off a visitor to your website </a>than it costs to get them there, why wouldn&#8217;t you pay for those visitors? The goal of any advertising campaign should be to bring in more money from the campaign than it costs to run it. PPC is no different, but the level of detail you can measure in PPC is significantly higher than most types of advertising.</p>
<p><strong>To achieve maximum success</strong>, you need to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Advertise a variety of relevant search phrases.</li>
<li>Create unique ads for each search phrase.</li>
<li>Send visitors to the most appropriate page of your website.</li>
<li>Always track your results. Free tracking tools are available through Google Adwords and Overture. I&#8217;ll go into it more next time.</li>
