http://www.dental-marketing-wizard.com/goldmineA New Generation of Market Research
Your web page need to include your brand (identity), logos, all possible contact details, details of service providers, details of services, testimonials, photo galleries of the practice and happy patients. Other information must not be boring, but informative enough to leave the prospective patients inquisitive.
Patients want to know about the achievements and experience of your dental team. The release of ‘Extreme Makeover’ programs has driven elective cosmetic dentistry to a different level, but patients want to see results before spending their money. Having a web site is only the minute part in this method of marketing. Static web sites will disappear with the other billions of web sites. You need to get ‘traffic’ or patients to the site and make it search engine friendly.
Acquiring the services for your web presence or Do-it-yourself?
You can either build your site self or contract it out. You need to be sure that you have the necessary minimum level of knowledge about getting around on a PC and doing things before you attempt a project like a Web Site, otherwise you’ll be facing an uphill battle. One of the most useful things you can learn to do on a PC if you are writing a document or making a Web Site is to learn to Copy, Cut and Paste. Short cut keys displayed in brackets .Copy (CTRL-C): Makes a copy of whatever text, image, file or folder you’ve selected and stores it inside the computers memory in an area called the ‘clipboard’ for use later.
Cut (CTRL-X): Removes whatever text, image, file or folder you’ve selected and stores it internally in the ‘clipboard’.
Paste (CTRL-V): Puts back the copied or cut files in a new location determined by where ever you have placed the cursor or mouse pointer.====SUCCESS TIPS====

http://www.dental-marketing-wizard.com/goldmineWhy do you need a web site?
Given what we’ve seen with prospective patient behaviour (the Internet is the #1 resource patients use to search for dentists and other healthcare providers, surpassing yellow pages and other off-line resources), this is a good sign.
“Although spending on traditional media, such as magazines and radio, has been falling in the UK, more than £2 billion was spent on internet advertising in 2006. It is evident that more and more companies are realising the serious benefits of advertising on-line, as internet-savvy consumers choose to shop over the web to save time and money”.*3rd April 2007 – ZenithOptimedia
Where do you get new patients from ? It will probably be local advertising and/or the local yellow pages.
Why Internet Dental Marketing Is So Important
Then here is-Why need your own website!
1.A website is cheaper than the Yellow Pages and you can change it when you want.
2.It is cheaper than local advertising.
3.A great tool for interaction with your patient.
4.You can supply much more information to your customers than through any other methods.
5.Reduced running costs- If your practice needs to produce brochures or any kind of sales literature, it is cheaper to have the customer download it to his machine and print it then you to produce a brochure which you then send to him/her.
6.You can use it to attract customers from outside you local area.Technology is advancing at a rapid rate and internet access via broadband is becoming part of the normal household. More and more people are searching on-line for services and products. People prefer to know their service provider prior to trying out the services. When your web site is seen on-line, people feel that you are keeping up with technology and trends. Web site advertising has even overtaken the Yellow Pages as local advertising tool.
According to a survey in 2006 by Advanstar, dentists are getting on board with building websites (over 65% had websites or were planning on building one within the next year).

A good criterion for measuring success in life is thenumber of people you have made happy.

http://www.dental-marketing-wizard.com/goldmineThe negative press on the failings of the NHS and the increase in television makeovers are pushing elective dentistry into the mainstream and opens up a world of opportunity. Targeting these markets can be very rewarding.
The budget for marketing in general dental practice is on average 8-10% of turnover and if it is in a growth phase, 10-13%. In periods of so-called recession you will need to up this to increase your visibility.
Dental marketing can be grouped as:
Basic (external or internal)
Advanced
Latest or hottest cutting edge. The latter will allow you to leap-frog ahead of all other practices and destroy competition and eliminate any fear of recession. These days, it is not a case of being pro-active to get the edge over the competition; you need to be pro-active just to keep up. These are the most up to date marketing techniques that lead to high conversion rates and getting in early, give you the edge. The marketing strategies are really focussing on educating patients to make the right decisions. Secondly, you will try to get out as much as possible as quickly as possible from your marketing effort.
You need to write down your goals and specify exactly what you want to achieve on an annual base, for example:
1.How much do you want to nett this coming year?
2.What is the gross needed to achieve this? Expenditure list.
3.How many patients are needed to achieve this?
4.What kind of patients do you want? Breakdown niches.
5.How many big case acceptances are needed? Set down limit.
6.External and internal marketing budget allocations?
7.Track your results on monthly basis!
8.Plan income surges when on holidays.
9.Do not copy others, you will only get the same results. So, be different and see your practice as a growing investment and track your ROI.(Return on investment)About the Author:

The Different Faces Of Dental Marketing

http://www.dental-marketing-wizard.com/goldmineDental marketing can be either basic (external or internal), advanced, or the latest and hottest strategies. Naturally the latter will give you the edge, but the basics need to be in place first. The sooner you get your marketing strategies in place, the sooner you will reap the benefits and be ready waiting for the changes to happen, as this will only mean more patients, more money and even better lifestyle.
You will probably find that you have most of these dental marketing strategies already in place and find some controversial, but applying them correctly (even just one new strategy) will improve practice performance. The source of your entire future success lies in marketing your practice. It is said that the secret of effective business is to do one thing better than your competitors.
Remember life is a journey of learning, and a passion for excellence will drive your practice to levels of success you would never have dreamed of!
